Hmm there should definitely have been a confirm button somewhere along the way but nothing's come through on my end (I usually get a notification) so you might still be able to go ... Drake needs all the support he can get, ya know?
It's pending on the Visa, but, on checking, it looks like it happens to be the annual sub anniversary. Still odd that I didn't get any notification about it being rolled over.
I appreciate the support Steve! Honestly the last few weeks have been so inspiring, all the support and kind words - makes me wonder what we can do with this thing next year…
I wonder at what point the concert-going public will vote en masse and just say f#$k that and not go (aka Travis Scott). The teenagers in my house have given those prices the two fingers up. They also pointed out that Spark Arena isn't a great venue no matter what the staging is like which doubly puts them off
Yeah even the nosebleeds seats are $200 for Drake. I don’t know where the limit is Grant but they’re definitely testing us - I feel like we’re about to find out eh.
Nice - that’s pretty good considering there’s nine of them on stage. Drake, and just Drake, is $170 just for the nosebleeds. Other seats are up to $560. Crazy stuff.
I am sure Ticketmaster are part of the villain story here. We missed out on a show last night because I am not feeling well and because it was close to start and I'd put the tickets on my google wallet, I couldn't gift them away. At what point is TM going to be taken down by our Commerce Commission...
Combo of being too close to the time of the event. When really, we should be able to do whatever we like with our tickets, right up to 1 minute before the gig starts. As for kicking up a fuss, Ticketmaster's phone line is dead and they never respond to emails. They are hot garbage.
To misquote The Streets - "The rage is blowing gauges, how long does it take to validate your TICKETS".
Given how angry you end up feeling after going through all the add-ons, I don't understand why ticket prices aren't all inclusive of the fees and shit - sure, break it down afterwards and say 'the band get this, fees are this, etc etc' but just have the one price.
I'd be less pissed knowing that my D4 ticket at Totara St was actually going to cost $47, rather than the $40 that was advertised. Knowing it's $47 is okay, being surprised by an extra $7 made me rage!
Same with Shihad. $139 ticket turns into $150 and all of a sudden it feels worse (also, can we talk about Shihad prices? It wasn't that long ago, like, really not that long ago, they were less than $50 - i know they're trying to make bank, but $150 for Shihad at Black Barn seems about $50 more than it should be. Still, i've got my ticket.)
It's $150 for Shihad at Black Barn?!? Holy wow! Their Spark Arena show is only $99 which I thought was pretty reasonable. It's their last tour so can't blame them for cashing in but also ... woah.
Australia is in the process of banning all of this stuff - dynamic pricing, countdown timers, hidden fees, subscription traps ... we are soooo far behind them eh.
I just somehow accidentally subscribed to Boiler Room instead🤣 so now I can’t afford to go any way.
(I wasn’t; and I don’t mind, just a bit confused as to how it happened with out me having to a least push a ‘confirm’ button somewhere😆)

I am very worried about how much Slipknot will be. I am happy I missed out on getting him Metallica tickets now!
Australian prices are around the $200 mark Emily :/
I mangaged to get some seated for about $160.

You can’t gift your tickets once they’re in your wallet? I would complain like crazy about that! Kick up a fuss and see what they say…

Ugh. 100% you should be able to share those tickets.
I will bank that story up for any future comms I have with them...

Unrelated but we need you to drop your Spotify Wrapped please Chris !!
No way! My daughter skewed it so it's mostly Taylor Swift and Chappell Roan :/
(And I'm on Apple Music anyways haha)
Apple has its own. That’s what all the cool kids have 😝
Shhh I'm still not posting it...
OK OK I changed my mind .... I'll post it on Saturday :)
