The first MBP was the worst organised event I’ve ever attended. I didn’t get tickets to 2024 based on that even though I liked the line up and live around the corner. Am interested to see if anyone can learn more about the operational issues…
Too many people in a small venue that has a brick wall running down one side and no way to leave out the other side - meant people were being shoved into brick as crowd surged. No shelter from rain so crowd stampeding the Tavern which felt like a war zone. Bouncer monitoring crowd 1-in-1-out at Big Fan but folks just entering through the emergency exit door. To buy food or drink had to line up for 30 mins to spend $3.50 loading up a wristband and then another 30 mins lining up for a beer. Line to get in went across the railway tracks, round the corner, passed the Beer Spot. I sound like such a grump, but it just did not vibe right for me.

Oh that’s really interesting Holly - do you mind me asking what the main issues were?

Oh no that is the definition of a bad time Holly. Those pay-as-you-go wristbands are a big fat no from me.
